The Feinstein's Foundation 12th annual $1 Million Giveaway to Fight Hunger is back!
All donations that Wayside receives between March 1st and April 30th, earmarked as being in response to the Feinstein Appeal, will qualify for some matching funds from the Feinstein Challenge! Donations can include cash, checks, food items, and pledges. They must be received between March 1st and April 30th. For more information on the appeal, please go to www.feinsteinfoundation.org
Currently, Shaw’s Supermarkets has a program by which they will reimburse qualified non-profits 1% of eligible grocery purchases. Up until now, they have asked the organization to bundle the receipts, fill out a form, and mail them to their headquarters. That has been a bit cumbersome and people did not like the idea of their receipts floating around. Great news for us, they have changed that and are going to a system where the purchase is linked through the Shaw’s Rewards card! Starting immediately, each person can link his or her card to Wayside and the purchases will be tabulated by Shaw’s. Four times a year Shaw’s will then send a check to the organization. How to help! Go to http://www.Shaws.com, click on the “helping our communities” link and then “neighborhood rewards”. Once there, you can link Wayside and your Shaw’s Rewards card. When you link your card and Wayside, you will need to enter in our organization number of 49001019954. Each time that you shop on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and use your reward’s card, Shaw’s will contribute 1% of each supporter’s eligible purchase.
